Steady Summer Bites in Sarasota Bay and the Gulf

Sarasota’s summer fishing scene is in full swing, with warm Gulf waters drawing in a wide variety of inshore and offshore species. Anglers are finding success early in the mornings and during late afternoon tides, especially around grass flats, bridges, and nearshore reefs. Bait is plentiful, and both artificial and live options are producing strong results.

Inshore, snook are holding close to structure, especially around docks and mangrove edges. Redfish are showing up in the grass flats, with schools cruising the shallows during high tide. Speckled trout continue to bite well across the deeper flats, particularly in the early hours. Tarpon activity has slowed slightly but is still solid near the passes and beaches.

Offshore anglers are reporting steady action on bottom species. Grouper and snapper are being caught around ledges and reef systems 10 to 25 miles out. Kingfish have made a solid appearance on nearshore wrecks, and a few cobia are mixed in as well. Tuna reports have been scattered but promising when the bait schools are thick.

Overall, the fishing in Sarasota remains productive with plenty of action both inshore and offshore. Whether you're casting from the flats or dropping lines in deeper waters, now’s a great time to hit the Gulf and enjoy what summer has to offer.

We had a blast fishing in Sarasota! Everyone was thrilled and even learned something new. Book your Sarasota fishing charter now for an unforgettable experience!

Hey there, folks! Captain Vasiliy here with your latest fishing report straight from the vibrant waters of Sarasota, FL.

Today was an absolute gem on the sea. The weather was just right, and the fish were in a cooperative mood. We kicked off the day with some exciting inshore action. The mangrove snapper bite was on fire around the nearshore wrecks. These feisty fighters were putting up quite a show, and our anglers were having a blast reeling them in.

As we ventured further offshore, we found ourselves in the company of some wahoo, mutton snapper, and yellowtail snapper. These prized catches made our day even more thrilling. The wahoo, in particular, put up a spirited fight, making for some memorable battles on the line.

The conditions out here are fantastic, with clear waters and a gentle breeze. It's no wonder Sarasota is known for its exceptional fishing opportunities year-round.
